Vineyard & Cellar!

Different microclimates, slope formations and soils as well as protecting meadow edges and woods are the key elements of the multifaceted and thrilling single-vineyard site Steinbach. Sand, pebble and gravel conglomerate soils alternate, featuring small portions of loam and lime. From this results the particularity of the site: The soils store little water, thus forcing the vines to root deeply.
The grapes were harvested by hand in the middle of October. After the gentle pressing of the whole grapes, the spontaneous fermentation occurred in big oak barrels and the wine was aged for 18 months on the lees before bottling.

Recommendations

This long-lasting, multi-layered Pinot Blanc has a good aging potential and is a versatile food companion to seafood, light-flavored meats, light-medium sauces and mild-flavored cheese choices.
